{ Black Hills Senior Portraits | Kaylee Gorman }

Kaylee Gorman.

She’s lovely to look at.

Her eyes sparkle when she laughs.

Her spirit is gentle and her wit is quick.

She loves her family.

She rocks it in front of the camera.

In her I see her Mom … I see her Dad.

And I’m the lucky one who gets to turn the camera around and show her what I see.

What you see.

Because she IS lovely and deserves every happiness and every chance to go for it.

And she’ll make it.

She’s too extraordinary for anything otherwise.

XO.

Oh, these are so beautiful. As always, you have such an amazing eye for composition and uniqueness in your photos. I love your post-processing. I have a quick photog question – what lens are you using for the photo of Kaylee in front of the dilapitated house? I’m beginning the search for the perfect wide angle lens and wondered if you would have any recommendations…

I’ve followed your blog for probably a year now, and am moved beyond what you could possibly imagine. I cry, I smile, I’m touched by your words and your photos and your journey. You are a strong woman and are admired all the way from Chicago!

Hi Alysa … The lens I used there is my Canon 70-200 2.8L. My favorite for wide angle shots is the 24-70 2.8L. Your comment made my day. Thanks for reading along!

Not the first time you brought a tear to my eye, Val! Kaylee Gorman — look at you — so grown up. I can still see you standing in the pickup seat, with your arm around your dad. You have grown into a beautiful girl. I love your pictures. Thanks for capturing this for all us, Val.
