{ baby love }

Mama to be. Looking amazing, as usual. And Loren writing her “wishes for baby” on a keepsake card. I asked Lindsay to share some of the comments here today:

I hope you love…. “to buy girls flowers”. (Abby)
I hope you love…. “to stay over with your aunt”. (V)
I hope you become…. “your Dad” (Sarah)
I hope you become…. “bold like your Mom” (Andrea)
I hope you laugh…. “at your Mother.  She is funny.” (Abby) LOL!
I hope you laugh…. “at yourself” (Mom & Lisa)

Champagne on ice. Orange juice in mason jars. Bottled water. Iced coffee. Colorful straws. Hydration accounted for. And a buzz. Whether it be caffeine or champagne. We believe in choices, yes?

Hosted in Littleton at Miss Mary’s amazing home. Backing up to a pond with a canoe. Trees. And sunshine. Andrea (Lindsay’s BFF) can operate a sewing machine without hurting someone (which I most certainly cannot) and so she created the yummiest pennants and burlap table runners. Pure talent, that girl.

A gazillion roses placed in Bell Jars all over the tables, buffet, and house. But since I am not a still life photographer, you’ll have to be happy with just one picture of that, k?

Lindsay was originally due December 24th. Apparently that has changed according to the calendar. Everyone who attended guessed the day she’ll actually deliver … and there were three of us that beat out everyone else. I probably should have waited and snapped a picture of everyone’s names. Oops.

Cute little game that doesn’t require public speaking or embarrassing yourself as you try to do something “baby.” There were only a few of us that were experienced in that arena, so no need to panic the masses.

This shot reminds me of the phase Caeden went through last year when he told everyone he was allergic to peanuts. Including while on a playdate at the movie theatre. Mom frantically calling me as Caeden casually mentions he’s allergic as he pops multiple peanut M&Ms in his mouth…

And apparently he delivered it with a straight face.

Sugar cookie envelopes to eat while writing out your wishes for baby.

I might have written …

Hope you are not afraid to stand up to your parents.

Hope you ignore your curfew.

Hope you love your aunt the most.

Or maybe I was mushy and wrote all things sentimental.

I bet Abby (the rockstar with the sunglasses in the group shot) was funnier.

Mom (lives in Virginia) and Lindsay.

The gorgeous ladies who came to celebrate.

And this one just makes me laugh. Post champagne, I am sure.

Champagne cake filled with strawberries and cream. Two tiers, that I apparently didn’t get a picture of because all I wanted to focus on was that sweet little foot.

Leave it to Andrea to have fingernails to coordinate with her bff’s dress. Well done, my friend.

And Lindsay? You are the prettiest Mama to be ever, ever, ever.

Love you, Lindsay Lyons. You are going to be an amazing Mama. You already are.

XOXO.

What an amazing baby shower. You captured it perfectly. Lindsay looks so beautiful…so excited to see Mom and baby shots!

BTW…cracking up at Caeden and the frantic mother who was duped into thinking she has a boy on her hands that may need CPR any minute! What a character! Love his imagination.

xoxo

I can’t wait for photos of the baby (and his proud parents)(and his lovely aunt)! You’ll post some for us, won’t you?
