{ fulton bath. As in, the only one … }

Okay. So.

There is only one bathtub in the house. And NO shower (except for an itty bitty one in the basement which has been given a lovely nickname that I cannot repeat).

These pictures are blurry and awful, but it almost makes it more fun to show you since the bathroom is so dang ugly.

The kitchen and bath will both be remodeled before we move in and I LOVE all the responses, emails, texts, and calls with your ideas. You guys are the BEST!

Okay, here we go …

Here is the tub without a shower. WHO lives like that?! Keeping the tub as it is cast iron but having the cabinet removed and plumbing added for a huge shower head. White subway tile will replace the current tile and wallpaper (it just keeps getting better, doesn’t it?!).

Here’s the view from the hallway. New tile floor, new stool, and a new vanity.

The three of us have to share it, so you better believe it is going to be beautiful.

Lord help me.

Let me walk you through my plan …

Since storage space will force me to be creative, I like the idea of the towel bars installed on the door.

The tile floor I adore. If I cannot get this, I’ll go with itty bitty white hexagonal tile grouted in gray. The subway tile surrounding the tub and shower, and maybe window wall will be white.

This is the type of cabinet I want for the new vanity.

I apologize  for the size of this image. It’s my favorite bath inspiration! I love the creative ledges for towels, the oval mirror, the storage dresser placed under the window (I need something on a smaller scale, but the sentiment is there).

Also, just for fun, you should know our new home features a LAUNDRY CHUTE in the hall just outside the bathroom. Cade made a new sign that said GARBAGE CHUTE and that is when Mama had to put her foot down. Banana peels and towels don’t mix. Well, I don’t WANT them to mix.

i redid our kitchen and bathrooms in a quaint old house that we lived in before. i also did white subway tile in the bathroom/shower area and small white hexagonal tile on the floor. they worked well together. our bathroom was painted a greyish-blue and our cabinets/vanity were dark brown with a white sink. for our kitchen, we placed 12″x12″ tile on the floor (a beige-ish color with some texture that hid a lot!). for the backsplash, we placed 3×3″ tile for most of the way with a 4″ strip of mosaic glass tile. behind the oven, we filled the whole space with the glass mosaic tile. let me know if you’d like to see pictures. i love your creative spirit and excitement for these renovations. it takes a lot of work and time! good luck! – lily

I haven’t been on here for about a week and when I checked back…WOW! How do you find the time? You are truly amazing and awesome:) How exciting this all it and how wonderful to be by family. I am lucky to live close to family and there is nothing like it!! I wouldn’t go anywhere else just because of my family. They are everything and my parents help out a lot with my kids which is so unbelievably nice:) Just want to say I love all of the pictures! A note about the bathroom towels. I do like the back of the door idea for hanging towels but they should go on the back of the actual bathroom door or they will never dry. They will smell gross if the door to the closet is shut.
Good luck with your new adventure and remember to have fun with all of this….as it looks like you are.
