The whirl of Cinnamon and Evergreen. It came … and it looked like this ….
Oh wait … this was how our mornings started. Not so much a whirl of evergreen as much as a kick in our coffee …
Claire Bear and her cousin Lyci. Christmas jammies. Bedhead.

Spoiled rotten from far away. You know who you are. Love you.

The theme this year … Star Wars and any to do with Recycling. Recycling bins (the real deal), recycle trucks, recycle toy bins … This little guy takes it super serious. I LOVE that about him.

Two days of no technology. A GREAT tradition to start. We all dumped our phones in the basket at the door and called it good. A good old fashioned Christmas with no one to talk to but each other.
(Read: some of us snuck in a text or two. Not calling anyone out, of course…)

Bear discovering her love for clementines. Ate them all day. Ate them in her jammies, with piggy tails, and with intent.

Dad … sporting his Griswold Christmas tee. Found at Target (I love that place, people.) this year.
Nikki and Destine. A little too much to drink and a WHOLE LOT of laughing. It was the best part of Christmas Eve (all the laughing …)
And red drinks on a white sofa. Do I need to tell you how freaked out I was?
Do I need to tell you that everyone kept telling me to “chill?”

In this picture: Heavy Cream and Vodka. Pretty much sums up the meal.
Okay. This Bear. It has a story.
This is what Caeden made Wayne for Christmas. It has his recorded voice inside, “I will always love you Daddy.”
But the outfit. Seriously. Silk pajamas and a scarf???!
Cracks me UP for very obvious reasons.

Well hello, there, Jordan. Can’t wait to see the footage!

Legos. Garbage truck edition. Who knew?
I love you. Beautiful inside and out. I love you … goodness.
The magic moment in color. I was so shocked. So touched. Cannot even tell you how it felt … you know those commericals that you think will never be your life? And you sort of look at your husband out of the corner of your eye like, “Why don’t YOU do THIS for me anyway? I mean, if you appreciated me AT ALL you would wrap up something that sparkles …!”
Well.
That commerical? That guy? That was all mine on this night. Except better.
Because it was real.
Sigh.

Dad grabbed the camera Christmas morning and caught me and the chickens playing. Claire is still eating oranges (and I think chocolate?!) and Caeden and I are concentrating hard on creating a red garbage truck.
Sort of fun!
Just keeping it real.
Yum.

My brother, Brian with Linz and Jordan. Pictures like this …? They make my heart SWELL.
I love my family.
Really, really love them.
More to come (if Christmas pictures of others don’t bore you to tears. I am sure they do…! It’s okay. Just tell me to lay off.).
