Wayne had his blood transfusion and first day of chemo yesterday. We arrived at MDA at 9 am, fought hard for a parking spot, and left at 7 pm. Our car was about the last one in that previous over-packed garage. The hospital room was nothing like PSL (first hospital in Denver for his chemo)....
We got good news today. Wayne’s tumors are stable and slightly improving (shrinking). He’s responding to the chemo! He still has not recovered from his last round of chemo and now we know why – his hemoglobin is still very, very low and will have a blood transfusion tomorrow morning WHILE having chemo. We’re here. Wayne is doing/feeling better, but tomorrow is a full day for him – Blood Draw, MRI, CT, XRays … We went to the grocery store and loaded up on water, cheese, grapes, and peaches. We’re watching HGTV and missing our kids. We’re here. Wishing we were there.
